Here are some questions we’ve already been asked about the event.  As we move nearer the event, we’ll continue to post common questions here.

  1. Do I have to pay to attend?
As a local person, the event is free of charge to attend.  However we are charging exhibitors a small fee to help contribute towards the event.
  2. What will I get out of it?
Simply put, as much or as a little as you want.  Whether that’s speaking to experienced careers advisors about how they can help you in more detail, considering options for further training, getting in touch with potential employers or attending the workshops to improve your confidence and gain specific skills.  You can attend just one workshop if you prefer, or come along to everything, it’s up to you.
  3. Have you got any future events coming up?
We are currently talking to other organisations and communities about organising future events in this nature in other areas.  We also run other events, workshops, seminars and conferences, so there may be something of interest to you.  To keep in touch with future events subscribe to our newsletter or email us at kate.cowan@springtoaction.co.uk about your interests.  We’d be pleased to help and if we can’t help you, we usually know someone else who can.

Workshop 2: Dress to Impress

People get their first impression of you within 3 seconds of meeting you, so what you wear (not what you say) in those first few moments is critical.  There’s not always a need to buy a new outfit – learn how to stand out using your clothes as a key asset.

Confidence is critical to finding a job.  Rediscover your life goals and start to re-build your confidence with the help of experienced and friendly coaches.

You can attend as many, or as few workshops as you wish.  There will also be local organisations who help people find jobs, from careers coaches to recruitment agencies, so plenty of help on hand.

Can’t wait to see you there.
